All I Want for Christmas is. . .

9 Stitches
Miss Bradli got an early Christmas present Saturday night when she was running and slit her head open on the corner of the wall. The poor Little Lady handled it so well. She screamed for about 10 minutes and then acted as if nothing had happened. She kept talking about getting scratched by a cat, which happened 2 weeks ago, never mind the huge cut on her head.

Driving to the ER- all smiles for this little injured chica!

The Doctor gave her some numbing medicine and amnesia medicine. I know, crazy!! It helps her to forget getting stitches. Why couldn't that have been around 30 years ago when my sister Cara did a somersault on top of me and I bit my tongue through??!! I had to get 2 stitches on my tongue and I still remember getting strapped down on the papoose board- it was blue!
Never mind that!! Bradli was acting soooo loopy from the medicine. She kept laughing and tried running all around. Too bad she could barely walk straight.

The result: 2 internal stitches and 7 surface stitches.
It hasn't affected her at all. She didn't get to bed until 1:30am and woke-up the next day at 7:45- ready to go to church. She's one tough girlie girl!

REWIND to Friday night!
We went to our friend's the Fitch's Ugly Sweater Party and got dressed for the occasion. Not to brag, but guess who took home the Best Dressed Award. . . Me in all my leg warmer/ teased/ white high heeled GLORY!!

The host/ hostess- Todd and Heather

The girlies

The very festive MEN!!
It was such a fun night, full of DELICIOUS food, a beyond competitive game of Family Feud, and conversation I will NEVER forget- thanks Todd- wink, wink!

Would you like to meet Elfie?
This our friend from the North who has been residing in our home. He watches the kiddos and then reports to Santa each night. Jaden and Bradli are LITERALLY obsessed with him and his ability to pop up all over the house. That's all they talk about. He has done wonders for Jaden's eating and Bradli's jumping skills (she tries to touch him, which is a huge NO NO).

We also made quite the Gingerbread House thanks to Costco and Jaden's ability to decorate and EAT candy!!

Seriously, seriously!!

Such a personality, it's ridiculous!

Sunday we had Christmas with Doug's parents and his brother David and his wife Amanda, since we are going to be in CA. Let's just say, they did NOT disappoint!! Jaden said his new dune buggie was, "AWESOME!" I would have to agree! All I have to say is, "Watch out!"

Bradli was in heaven playing with her new kitchen.

Just cruising the streets of Watercolor- no biggie! The passenger kills me!

Showing off their new jammies.

Not the cutest pic of Bradli, but I had to get a full shot of her jammies. I'm a sucker for polka-dots.
Thank you so much Marc and Karen for a wonderful pre-Christmas celebration! We're going to miss you on Christmas Day!! XOXO

Thanksgiving and stuff

I know, how cute are these Indians and Pilgrims!! Jaden's preschool class had a Thanksgiving Program and it was beyond adorable!!

They had a Thanksgiving feast before we got there and each child brought something that started with the first letter in their name. Jaden chose Jello Jigglers. I know, such an over achiever with the double J.

Showing us the picture they made of what they are grateful for- his house.

Jaden's Thanksgiving card to his family.

What we were waiting for- our first visit with baby Crew!! Doug's sister Monica had Crew about a month ago and we were so excited to see them over Thanksgiving, he is such a little cutie.

The morning of Thanksgiving Doug's cousin's wife Analeis and I ran than the Rock Trot while all of the guys got their football on.

Thanksgiving dinner was sooo yummy. We went to Doug's parent's house and had such a great time with family. It was quite the group of little ones.
Bradli couldn't wait to dig in.

Paisley, Jersey, and Jaden at the famous KID table!!

Friday Marc and Karen took us all to Zoo Lights. It was cold but worth it. Everyone had such a great time.
Joel, Monica, and baby Crew

Jaden and his best bud Grandpa!

Doug's cousin Richard, his wife Analeis, and baby Lilah.

The entire crew
Doug is in LOVE and it's with this little 8 month old- Miss Lilah! Seriously, I don't think she could be any cuter. Jaden says, "She's just so adorable!"

Sooooo stinkin' cute!

Grandma and Bradli

Grandpa got all of the kiddos light sticks which turned into Light Sabers, thanks to a 4 year boy!

Some Daddy/ Daughter time

Doug's cousin Jamie, his wife Erin, and their two daughters Paisley and Jersey.

Richard, Analeis, and the "other woman"

Joel, Monica, and baby Crew

Bradli busting it to some Christmas tunes.
Our turn with Mr. Claus.
We had a great time and were so sad to see everyone leave after the fun weekend!

Dad Time vs. Mom Time

Dad Time:
Drop wife off in Grand Junction on his way to Moab with his buddies.
Hit up Slickrock on the old bike.

Live on the edge- LITERALLY!

Do some rope climbing

Hike your tail off!

Mom Time:
Hang with her "bestie" Megan and let the boys dress-up

Go to the Dinosaur Museum

Go crazy at Kidsplex

Be amazed by Megan and her 34th finish in the Grand Junction Marathon. She got 1st in her division where she ran 20 miles in snow up a mountain. Yeah, I felt like a lazy piece of trash!

At least I helped the kids make signs to cheer her on.
The very fit Barnhurst clan!

The ladies!

Let the boys jump on the tramp in the snow.

Is it bad of we have arranged marriages?
