Follow that Buggy!

I just got back from a whirlwind trip to the East Coast. A year ago I went to NYC with 10 of my college girlfriends and on the way home, I got bumped from my flight, which allowed me to get a free ticket, which allowed me to visit my girlfriends Tiffany, Laura, AnnMarie, my sister Heather, and my friend Trent from High School, which allowed me to go to Amish country and become obsessed with their mode of transportation- BUGGIES!! It was WILD!!

If you look closely you can see the adorable Amish children playing in their backyard. I even had Tiffany pull over at a Hardware store that had tons of buggies parked outside, so I could "pretend" to shop, but really spy. They are so interesting and so nice! Am I weird?? Don't answer that!

Their clothes drying on the clothes line.

The next day Tiffany and I drove to Alexandria to visit Laura, her family, and her twin babies in her tummy. I know, you can't even tell she's pregnant, let alone with babies A and B cooking in there.

Tiffany found her very own Tavern in Alexandria.

Saturday morning we shopped in Georgetown and found some great loot at my FAVORITE paper store ever- Paper Source.

We met up with AnnMarie and her 2 little ones Matthew and William to go to the Portrait Gallery. It was really interesting and I'll admit, I'm not a huge museum girl. I can last about 1 hour and then I get antsy. I do love going to the Smithsonians. They hold my attention a lot longer!!

In front of Obama's new pad.

The Cherry Blossoms were just starting to bloom. It's going to be gorgeous in about a week!

Sunday Heather and I went to the Washington National Cathedral. It was amazing and huge, especially being in such a busy city. I highly recommend visiting it and going on the free tour.

Can you say SASSY Sabbath attire or what!! Especially coming from the H-Train.

Washington Monument

World War II Memorial

It was so great to see my friend Trent and his adorable family. Who knew I would have to fly across the country to see my beach buddy!!??

This is Heather's UNBELIEVABLE place!! It's literally 1 block from the most amazing shopping in Georgetown. She's 1 lucky girl!!

Happy 10 Months to ME!!

I'm 10 months old TODAY and since my Mom hasn't been keeping up with the blog, I'm going to tell you all about ME!!

I LOVE to stand up in my crib.
Sometimes it takes a while for my Mom to get out of her bed in the morning to get me. So I love when my brother comes and sees me. He even climbs in my crib, but gets in trouble when he's caught!

SAVE ME!!!

I LOVE to eat!! No really, I do!
I will eat anything from spaghetti, to pot roast, to enchiladas, to oatmeal, to mozzarella mushroom chicken (one of my faves), you name it, I'll eat it!!

I LOVE to climb up the stairs.
I'm pretty proud of myself when I get to the top.

I LOVE to play with my brother.
He's super sick right now and gets mad at me when I try to pull his blanket away from him. I guess I'm getting him back for all the times he pounds me with pillows.

I LOVE to read books!!
I don't like to take a nap until I have read at least 3 books. I really like when my brother reads "Fairy Colors" to me.
I HATE to wear hair things.
I usually keep them in until my Mom turns her head and then I rip it out. They make a much better chew toy, but my Mom insists on putting them in my hair.

Here's a few extras about me:
I LOVE to take baths and chew on my brother's swim goggles. I know weird, but he wears them when he takes a bath. Apparently it keeps the soap out of his eyes!
I LOVE my green and pink silky blankets. I can only fall asleep if I'm chewing on them. I am not a fan of pacifiers!
I LOVE Nilla Wafers and Ritz crackers.
I LOVE to take all the silverware out of the dishwasher and throw it on the floor.
I LOVE to climb through the kitchen chairs. It's like an obstacle course.
I LOVE when my Dad comes home from work. I always have the biggest smile on my face.
I DON"T like to sit still during Sacrament Meeting!
I LOVE to wave "Bye-Bye" and lift my arms up for "SOOOO Big". My family seems to get a kick out of it- whatever!!
I LOVE to laugh at my brother! He always seems to do the funniest things, especially at the dinner table!

So that's ME!!! I'm one happy 10 month old!

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the H-TRAIN!!
You are 1 hot mama and I can't wait to see you!

I'm practically driving and my brother has his Mission call!!

Okay, well maybe my Mom isn't that bad, but she is showing us NO love. Seriously, I think I'm going to grow-up with a complex. The conversation will go something like this, "Mom, why did you blog all about my brother, but then I come around and I get maybe 3 posts. Do you like him better than me? Am I not cute enough for you to post pictures of me. Oh, I know what it is, you're jealous of my blue eyes. Just because Aunt Cara said you have diaherra eyes, it doesn't mean you have to be ashamed of the fact that I have the most gorgeous eyes ever. Don't worry I still love you, but post something for heaven's sake!!"

I guess Bradli does make a strong case. No, I'm not jealous of her eyes (BTW, thanks Cara for the "compliment"). I just haven't felt like blogging at all. I rarely even go onto other people's blogs. I have tried to post a few times and every time I get on there's some dumb hiccup and I give up. I guess I'll give it another try and see what happens. I have some time since Bradli is taking a nap and poor Jaden is sicker than sick. Poor guy hasn't been him self since Sunday. Here's a "quick" recap of the last 6 months:

We were in CA for pretty much all of October. We met my family in AZ for my cousin Curtis' wedding and then drove back to CA so I could be in my best friend Suzanne's Wedding.

Curtis and Candace
Suzanne and Greg

Doug and I were at the rehearsal dinner on Halloween so Jaden and Bradli got to spend Halloween with their cousins.

We did the regular, hit the beach as much as we could and went to Disneyland for Carter's 4th b-day!

For Thanksgiving we had a wonderful time with Doug's parents back in CO. Bradli loved her first turkey dinner!!

Jaden had his first Christmas concert at school and we were all there to watch him sing and ring his jingle bell.
Fast forward to Christmas Eve!! Joel and Monica were able to come to CO for Christmas and we had a great time bowling. I was quite the mulit-tasker bowling with Bradli in the Bjorn. Let's just say I did NOT win!

Christmas morning with the kiddos!
Bradli loved hiding under the table playing with the wrapping paper- go figure!
Jaden loved shooting his Storm Trooper gun nad trying to see through his helmet.
We went up to Breckenridge for some snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, and just messing around.
I lasted about 5 minutes with Jaden on my back snowshoeing. I have a much greater appreciation for my very STRONG hubby!!
How cute are these 3!!

Jaden's 1st time skiing. He did awesome!!

Where are my skis??
On New Year's Eve we were off to CA for the Rose Parade. We even made "I heart MV" shirts for the parade since Mission Viejo had it's own float. We represented alright!! I know Doug, Dave, Matthew, and Joe all LOVED having to wear these shirts!!
Roger P. must have made some New Year's Resolution because he was all about the LADIES in 09. He went from the HOT Squirrel a.k.a. Mom,

To Miss Bradli B.,

To not 1 but 2 HOT USC Cheerleaders,
To a Penn State Hottie! Way to go Roger P!!!!
Bradli and the Haggle!!
One of the best things about going to CA is "The One and Only". She, my Aunt Barb, and cousin Eric always fly in from AZ to see us. We have such a great time together!
Eric teaching the boys to play Uno.
Now they're ready to ROCK for sure!!

We stayed for a few weeks and enjoyed the incredible CA weather!

Don't you just love Bradli's polka-dotted halter!!

Bradli and Cousin Emily at Disneyland! 2 cuties for sure!!
We were able to celebrate my Grandma's 80th b-day while we were there,
hang out with Lindsay, and

beach, beach, beach!!
Are you kidding me!!!
Over President's weekend we were able to go back to Breckenridge with Doug's parents and we invited our friends the Barnhurst's to come along. We had an absolute blast!! Marc and Karen were unbelievable. They took the kids so we could go snowboarding together and even let us go out on Valentine's Day for dinner.

Marc took the 3 munchkins skiing. What a GRANDPA!!!
The crazy crew!!
Doug and Eric took Mason and Jaden up on the big lift.
Bradli got her fair share of skiing in. Doug took her down the Bunny Hill.

So that's a wrap.

P.S. Not included are the sleepless nights where I was a grump, a child refusing to eat his dinner while a "calm" Mom and Dad tried to reason with him, a baby girl refusing to nap, and a boy who's favorite outfit is a tiny rash guard and sweat pants that are too small- oh wait, I'll include that! Here's to 6 months!!!
