Last night Dave and I went to the Calgary Flames vs. Colorado Avalanche Hockey Game. I've never been a real hockey fan, but I found myslef cheering for the Avalanche as I was surrounded by a sea of Flames fans. Colorado won 4-3! Sorry Dave:)

This was hilarious! The "Indian" had all the Village People as dummies while he danced to Macho Man and YMCA.

Packing- It wasn't so bad this time!!

So I'm off to Canada tomorrow (I'm going to visit my sister and watch her kids when she goes to Cabo- I'm very jealous) and as you all know, I HATE packing more than anything. However, I have to say, it was quite delightful this time around. Why the change of attitude you might ask? I have figured it out. All you need to do is talk to a friend while you pack. I talked to my great friend Megan as I packed and now I have no idea what I even packed, but who cares!!! We were too busy catching up on her life in Philly and my life in CO. Gosh do I miss her and her adorable family! I guess from now on I will pack with my ear to the phone!!

Let's Get Physical

Last night for Young Women's (my youth church group) we had an aerobics instructor come and do aerobics with us. Let me just say, I am FEELING it today. I remember why I hate squats and lunges sooooooo much- my inner thighs are killing me. It hurts to walk up the stairs, bend down, carry Jaden, etc. This is pathetic. I thought I was doing pretty good by running again, but obviously I need to get this toosh into shape.

Cha Cha Cha Suzanne Shaw

What makes a great weekend you ask? Nothing better than a visit from your best friend from high school- Suzanne Shaw! Now what's the Cha Cha Cha all about? Suzanne was the STAR volleyball player and that was the chant we (including all of her many male fans) chanted at her V-ball games. What great memories we share, including the packed weekend we just had! As soon as Suzanne got off the plane, we were off. On Saturday we hit the slopes at Vail wearing our green shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day. The weather was incredible but the snow caused some sore body parts, thanks to some moguls we encountered- not fun on a snowboard!


We then made a very FAST turnaround and were off to the Mat Kearney Concert Downtown. It was awesome! A British group The Feeling and a guy named Rocco Deluca opened for him. All 3 groups sounded incredible live. I highly recommend downloading their music! Doug and I also realized this was the first real concert we have been to together (poor guy didn't go to JT with me:(). I felt so hip, but could feel my age thanks to standing for over 3 hours- my feet were killing me!!


We tried to take it easy today. Jaden really wanted Suzanne to relax, so he decided to do her hair and boy did it look fantastic! (Ignore the bluriness- my camera is acting crazy)



Suzanne- Thanks for making the trip to come see us! We love you to death and miss you already! I think I heard Jaden chanting "Cha Cha Cha Suzanne Shaw" in his crib!! Oh wait, that was his CD player on repeat play haha!!

Hut, Hut, Hike??!!

I am freaking out right now- Jack playing a little football with The Others! How am I supposed to wait another week. I guess it's going to be another sleepless night for me and my wandering mind.

Taylor is one incredible kid. If Jaden turns out anything like him, I will be ECSTATIC!

Jaden and I really had such a wonderful time in AZ visiting family and friends (once we caught up on some sleep after the CRAZY flight). I was able to get together with my friend Nancy from BYU and her 2 adorable kids. We reconnected via blogging and it was so great to see her and catch-up.


We were even able to see my friend Todd and his wife Allison and their adorable baby girl Brooklyn- soo cute!

We spent a ton of time with my Dad's side of the family. I LOVED every minute of it. These memories will last a lifetime!! Thanks for such a great time in AZ!!!

Flight. . . CANCELLED!

That's right, my flight was cancelled yesterday, so Jaden and I got to hang out in the Denver airport for 5 hours- FUN! He did great, but when we got on the plane, the great went to TIRED and SICK!! Not fun at all! I loved the comment from the flight attendant, "Oh it must be his ears." No actually it's because you cancelled my flight and didn't seem to think it was imporant to call me, so my son has had no nap and he's exhausted. His ears are just fine! To make matters worse, he is fighting off a cold and has lost the fight. He was up until 4am last night, I mean this morning. Can you tell I'm tired and grouchy?? At least I'm with my cute cousin Taylor! He's the best! I'm going to bed!

When the Husband's away, the Wife will play!

Doug is out of town for 10 days. I wasn't going to just sit here in the cold, so we are off to AZ on Tues. I'm super excited to see friends and family. Pretty much all of my Dad's side lives in AZ, so I found a cheap flight and thought "WHY NOT?". I'm ready to bust out my Rainbows and let my white legs see sunlight- I know, a little scary but it has to be done. Here are some random pics of Jaden- a little nutty!

to SPAIN!!! Doug served his Mission in Madrid and has been dying to take me there. I am so excited!! We have been debating for the past month and finally bought our tickets. Doug's wonderful parents are going to watch Jaden while we're gone. I still can't believe we are going, it doesn't seem real. I work twice a week at CPK, but have been picking up extra shifts to help pay for the trip. It's fun to watch our Spain jar grow and it gives me the motivation to work those extra nights. The jar was my Christmas gift to Doug for a new bike, but as you can see, his priorities have shifted- Gracias Doug!!! Te amo!!
