Why do I care?

How have I not blogged about this?? I received an urgent phone call from Lisa saying to go to CNN. I about died!!! What in the world?? I know, why do I care, but I do! I proceeded to call a few friends to discuss the issue. Once again, why do I care? The poor girl has 2 kids, has been divorced twice, can't stop partying, doesn't wear her undies, chomps her gum, checked into rehab for a day, shaved her head, and got new tattoos. It's been a tough week for Brit!

These Boots Are Made For. . . Swimming??

Jaden is obsessed with his snow boots that are 3 sizes too big. He wants to wear them all the time! He watches Baby Einstein in them- his OBSESSION once again, wears them with his PJs, and with his bathing suit. He's a real fashion icon let me tell you! He did a ton of swimming this last week because Doug's parents had a time share up in Breckenridge so we went back and forth a number of times due to work and V-day. Stupid me, I left the camera at home so I only got a few pics. The weather was pretty wild, but on Friday the snow was AMAZING. It was by far the best boarding/skiing day we have had this year. Jaden LOVED swimming and is the most daring little guy ever. He puts his face under, blows bubbles, and splashes like crazy. Thanks Marc and Karen for a great week!
Watching Baby Neptune with his boots!

Watching with Grandma

Pretty stylish!!

Perfect size- the pool is 1 foot deep.

Just a Fun V-Day!!

Happy Valentines Day!! What a fun day we had. Jaden and I made V-Day treats to bring to our neighbors. I got the idea out of Parents magazine and it was so EASY!! Jaden loved putting the sprinkles and hearts on the cookie-pops. He didn't mind eating the chocolate and getting it all over!!

This face kills me- "Come on Mom, are you serious, another picture? I bet this is going on the blog- whatever! Just take it already!!"

The finished product!

Doug and I got together with some friends and had such a GREAT time. We had appetizers, went bowling, and then went to Claim Jumper for some dessert. It was such a blast to be with other couples and not have to worry about kids. Here are some pictures from the fun night.

Nice pink ball Mike!

I know, great form!!

Mike and Susanne with the Ideclair- YUM!!

Ideclair with whipped cream on the side please!!

Heather and Todd with their Raspberry Cheesecake- hands off everyone, and the Mother Load "small" piece of cake.

Ashley and Ben and their Cookie Sandwich.

Ryan and Laura and their Raspberry Cheesecake and Cookie Sandwich.

SIDENOTE: We came home and watched Lost- I was not pleased with the episode. I want answers, NOT more questions!!! I mean come on, I needed some Jack on V-Day!!! Doug wouldn't have minded a little Kate!

Happy Belated Birthday Annie Pants!!

I feel like the BIGGEST jerk right now!! I totally forgot my friend Annie's birthday. Now if I could go back to Tuesday, Annie would have received a birthday card from me as well as a phone call. It's now Friday the 9th and I feel terrible. Annie Pants, I love you to death and hope you had the best b-day ever. Enjoy your virtual birthday cake. It looks delicious!!

If you haven't seen Lost yet, don't read this!

I can't handle this!!! I am dying right now and it's too late to call anyone. Are you kidding me about Lost: Juliette and Bioscience in "Portland", Alex- Russo and Ben's daughter- didn't see that one coming, Carl and the crazy brainwashing, I could go on and on. I need to talk to someone. I tried my sister Lisa and my Dad and both of them hung up on me because they hadn't seen it yet. What, were they afraid I would say something??- not ME!! My mind is going crazy with endless questions and ideas. How in the blankety blank am I supposed to sleep at all tonight? I mean come on!! I've tired Doug out with my questions and theories, now what?? Do I really have to wait 168 hours, 10,080 minutes, 604,800 seconds for some sort of explanation, which of course will only bring more questions. I am an addict and I really do need help!

My Windows are Open!!

The last 3 days have been incredible- the high 50's. I know, sounds cold to many but when it's been negative and freezing, 57 feels like 80. We've been playing in the snow in the backyard. We can actually see the deck now. One more thing, about 8 hours until LOST!!!! RUN KATE!!!!

This picture cracks me up, it looks like he has a lazy eye.

A Super Saturday and Sunday

I'm feeling sooooo good right now!! I'll get to the weekend in a minute. I just got off the phone with Wells Fargo and Cingluar. Usually I'm not real happy when I have to call these "institutions", but this time I WON!! Let me explain. I don't know what my deal is but I paid my credit card bill one day late and I was slapped with a $35 late fee. I called Wells Fargo and got the fee reversed!!! Thank goodness to a great credit history! I have now signed up for automatic payments. Now to Cingular. When I was in CA for 3 weeks, I didn't realize how much I used my phone. Well, needless to say I went over my minutes which was going to cost me $88.70 in overage charges. That's over twice the amount of my usual bill. I was NOT happy. I called Cingular and after some small talk about the Super Bowl- yeah I was warming Jim up, too bad he's a Bears fan- oops, I was able to get Jim to reverse the entire overage charge- $88.70. I saved us $123.70 in just 15 minutes. THANK GOODNESS!!

Now to the weekend. My Dad had a business meeting up at Copper Mountain, so we drove up late Friday night and spent the night with him. We then went snowboarding/skiing on Saturday. It was so windy at the top. It had snowed Fri. night and Sat. morning, but there was no new snow due to the CRAZY wind. Pretty wild. Before he left to go back to warm CA, he took us to The Denver Chop House for an early dinner. The food, to die for. It was so great minus Jaden throwing rice and a french fry- he does have a great arm. Thanks so much Dad for a wonderful weekend and for filling our tummies with such a yummy dinner!!

There's Sea Life in Denver!!

Who knew?? Today we, Whitney, Heather, myself and the boys went to the Denver Aquarium. It was so much fun, minus the freezing temperature as we waited to buy our tickets. Poor Mason's teeth were chattering like crazy! The weather was terrible outside, but inside we enjoyed hundreds of fish, sharks, sting rays, jelly fish, seahorses, and even tigers. It even had that wonderful fish smell you smell at the end of the San Clemente Pier by all the fishermen. Poor Whitney wasn't a fan of that. The boys cruised around oohing and awing the entire time. Once we finished looking at all the exhibits, it was off to Costa Vida for some pork salad action- DELICIOUS!!!

Scottie, Mason, and Jaden

The aquarium was also above us- Jaden is checking it all out!

Mason- I finally have feeling back in my fingers!

There were 3 tigers that we got to see eat whipped cream- I know random!! Do you think wild tigers eat whipped cream??

The Gang!

These are pictures from the Nuggets game that Doug and his parents went to Sat. night. Check out Jaden's throw-back headband!

Grandma and Grandpa

P.S. LOST starts in a week and I am soooooooooo EXCITED!!! I may make a paper chain to count down the days!
